Along the Mekong

The Mekong River connects six countries, countless cultures and millions of lives. To understand its significance, I travelled more than 5,700 kilometres, following the river from the Mekong Delta in Vietnam to its source high on the Tibetan Plateau.

The journey took me through floating villages, bustling river towns, dense forests and remote mountain communities, documenting the people whose lives are shaped by one of Asia’s greatest rivers. Along the way, I explored the rich cultural diversity, traditions and landscapes that make the Mekong a lifeline for an entire region.
